How I train

Training built around your dog

  • More than obedience

Working on the underlying emotions and patterns behind your dog’s behaviour, not just visible symptoms.

  • Relationships and lasting habits

Time to really get to know your dog, build trust and establish new habits through consistency.

  • Weekly progress updates

Weekly photos and videos throughout your dog’s stay, so you can follow their progress.

Residential training is about more than repeatedly drilling exercises. The longer programmes give me time to really get to know your dog, build a relationship with them and, most importantly, establish new habits.

Training is tailored around your dog: what motivates them, what they enjoy and what is driving the behaviour you are struggling with. Play, particularly games involving toys or food, is used alongside structured training, walks and carefully chosen outings.

For some dogs, simply being in a different environment can help interrupt established patterns and create the space to build new ones. Where appropriate, trusted people may be involved in parts of the training too.

Your dog’s stay

A stay in pictures

Your dog’s programme combines individual training with walks, play and time to relax in a home environment.

The handover

Training that comes home with your dog

Most of your dog’s training is already established during their stay, ready for you to continue and maintain when they come home.

During a comprehensive two-hour handover I show you what your dog has learned and exactly how to continue and maintain their training at home. Follow-up support by calls and messages is included afterwards.
